Welcome to the new home of The Window, the international football hub and podcast that covers every national team in every window, not just the World Cup favorites. All 220 of them, from Spain and Argentina to Bhutan, Tuvalu and Zimbabwe.
For years we have tracked squads, call-ups and results in our own spreadsheets so we could talk about the whole football world on the show. This site puts that work in front of you. It updates as we update, so when a squad drops or a result comes in, it shows up here.
If you follow international football beyond the big tournaments, this is built for you. Here is what you will find.
A page for every national team
Every one of the 220 national teams we track has its own page. Each shows the manager, the team’s place in our rankings, its next fixtures and its recent results. Upcoming matches carry our call on the result. The teams are grouped by confederation, so finding Comoros or Curaçao takes a couple of clicks.

Our own world rankings
The Window rankings rate every national team on results and move after every match. Arrows show who has climbed and who has slipped since last month, and you can filter by confederation. We keep a monthly snapshot, so each team’s ranking history builds up over time.
Fixtures and predictions for every MATCH
The fixtures page lists every upcoming international match, from Nations League ties and AFCON qualifiers to friendlies and regional cups like the SAFF Championship. Every match comes with our percentages for a home win, a draw and an away win. After a window, we’ll pick out the calls worth talking about.

Competition pages
The competition pages cover the major tournaments and qualifying campaigns: the UEFA and CONCACAF Nations Leagues, AFCON, the Asian Cup, the Gold Cup, the Copa América, the EURO and the World Cup. Each one shows the groups, the tables as matches are played, and every fixture and result in one place. It also shows our projections for who is likely to qualify, updated after each window.
Full squads and the extended player pool
For Insider members, every team page carries the current squad with each player’s club and league, and flags new call-ups. That is more than 5,500 players at over 2,100 clubs. Below the squad sits the extended player pool: everyone the team has called up recently, grouped by position, with the last squad they made. It is the best way we know to see who is in the frame before a squad is named.

Player search and the map of where they play
Insiders can also use player search to search every current squad at once, by player, club, national team or the league they play in. See which clubs supply the most internationals, list every new call-up in one go, or open the world map. It shows where each country’s players are based and which leagues feed which national teams, and you can zoom in on Europe, where most of them play.

The podcast
The Window will continue to publish regular episodes around each window. New episodes will appear on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube, or listen to them straight from the podcast page.
Why check in every window
International football moves in bursts. Squads are named, players get their first call-up, results reshape the rankings, and the next set of fixtures comes into view. The site updates with every one of those moments, so it is worth a look:
- when squads are announced, to see who is in, who is new and who dropped out
- before matchdays, for our predictions on every game
- after each window, to see how the rankings moved and how our calls did
- whenever a player catches your eye, to find out who else plays for that club or in that league
